Xtras are written in C or C++, however you don't need to be programmer to use them in a movie.
Finished Xtras already exist; you just need to make them available to Director.
Intermedia develops Xtras for itself and make them available for another multimedia developers. If you need Xtras for specific tasks, we write it for you, and you pay only the usuall licencing fee.
All developing costs carry Intermedia!!!
All our Xtras are avaiable as Demo.
You can use them, develope your application and when you want to distribute your product you pay only licencing fee.
For the time beeing the following Intermedia Xtras are available:
1. ShapeWindow Xtra
The ShapeWindow Xtra allows Director developers to change the shape of the display window for a projector and during the authoring. The display window can be reshapedinto complex outlines, that is traced from a monochrome bitmap mask. The bitmap mask can also be used to create a transparent stage effect that is accurate don to a pixel. Stage borders are removed. The Xtra allows developers to add a user defined activation area using any Director cast Member to act as a handle bar for dragging the projector. The Xtra provides the ability to drag, to move the window from lingo and to minimalize shaped window. The ShapeWindow Xtra works in MIAW, in the full screen and in the floating window mode. The SapeWindow Xtra gives you the ability to customize your projector window to a shape more propriate and natural to your application's theme for unique Director applications.The ShapeWindow Xtraworks with versions 6,7i 8 in Windows 95/98/2000/NT environment. more...

2. BinaryMaster Xtra
The BinMaster Xtra allows Director developers to read from the binary file and save data in the binary file, so that anybody cannot read the data. The BinMaster Xtra works with versions 6,7 i 8 in Windows 95/98/2000/NT environment.
